Okay, by bus ride I meant train ride. This is what I get for trying to type just before 2am. Time for sleep. Except to say that this is an exceptional group of young people. They have risen to every challenge I have put before them. I love them, and I know now what Ezekiel meant in ch.36.26.
Hi, everybody. Okay, we didn't get any posts until the night before we leave. But, we did walk approximately 1 million, 259 thousand, 872 miles around Manhattan, so we were a little busy. I'll post comments from the bus ride now:

Zoe Marr- The experience of being on a train is an enjoyable one. Except for the fact that it is a lot like being on a plane, and you don’t get any sleep. I look forward to being a zombie for the rest of the day. :)

Benjamin Hill- I’d say the train ride was pretty fun, except for the fact that it’s eighteen hours, and that the Braves lost 5-1. But we can’t control those things, everything we could control was good.

Margaret Ashton~The train ride is okay, the bathrooms are gross and the snack bar is yummy! Some people have REALLY loud voices!!!

Bailey Crawford- I got practically no sleep. But other other than that (and people talking WAY too loud) I am having fun!! XD I also dislike not knowing where I am.

Alexandra Carlton- I’ve never been on a train before! So it’s super cool. I love walking between cars to the snack bar. Ellen and I literally got 20 minutes of sleep, so we are just a little exhausted! I love piling on top of all of my friends! They make really good pillows!! I can’t wait to shower when we get to the hostel.

Ellen Summerlin- I really liked my first train ride because I HATE flying, and this time I got to pile on top of all my friends. We repositioned every hour, or so, but I was definitely comfortable the whole time. It was kind of hard to sleep, though. Oh well. I stayed up all night with great people!

Asa Crawford= Sleep.

Sleep= Happy.

Asa= Happy.

Patrick Tarrant- I have now been in many positions on a train that were never before thought possible. We fit five people into a seat. It was interesting. Now, I am really tired, but I feel terrible for Ellen because she did not sleep at all.

Jody McDaniel- Not too bad, actually sorta fun. I got about five or six hours of sleep last night, which is a lot by comparison to what others had. I enjoy going to the snack bar and the food is pretty good. Overall I really like it (a lot better than school ) and my MP3 Player is fully charged and I have plenty of great books so I don’t really fear getting bored. Hello to my parents and pets at home if any of you are reading this.

just a little bit shady,

spending her days on the train.” - Willie Nelson

Toccoa......Greenville/Spartanburg.....High Point.....Greensboro........the lights.....the gentle swaying of the coach.......Ellen’s up.....Matthew’s up......Allison’s reading.....Haley’s role as resident mom telling one group to “keep it down up there because some of us would like to sleep!”........tossing and turning trying to find that comfortable position that would hopefully bring some sleep......it’s 5:30AM and finally daylight . The Virginia landscape is breathtaking and a welcomed sight for very tired eyes. Allen, Amy, and I head for the snack bar to hopefully beat the long lines for some coffee . Surely those 3 cups of caffeine will have me ready for our afternoon arrival in the Big Apple.

Amy M.- Life should be an adventure.....today it is. I spent my first night on a train and now I can say the unfamiliar was not so bad. Waking up to views of the Virginia countryside is such a blessing. The trip is off to a great start! Hugs and love to everyone back home!

Remy- The train ride has been a new and interesting experience for most of us. After some sack dinners at the Cathedral, we headed to the train station. We had quite a wait since the train was late, but we did get to board first since we were a group! The seats are roomy, complete with footrests and electrical outlets. They are much better than a plane! After grabbing a snack in the lounge car, most of us settled down to sleep. Some slept better than others. As I ate breakfast this morning, we pulled into Washington, D.C. and had a great view of the Washington Monument. Despite the lack of sleep for some, the energy level of most people seems to be high as it is only a few more hours until we hit NYC! Thanks to everyone who helped make this trip possible!
